Two French sites have paid attention to the difficult life of the homeless in Paris, after losing the solidarity of passers-by and those living in these difficult days under the quarantine that accompanied the spread of the Corona epidemic (Covid-19).

Liberation website said that the homeless find themselves alone in the street after the passers-by diminish considerably. They do not find those who help them and do not find an opportunity to beg, and therefore they can no longer obtain food, especially since people in the street are in poor health and most vulnerable to virus infection .

The site pointed out that the quarantine prevented what was going on in the normal times from the distribution of food by some charities, and also led to the closure of many centers that receive the displaced during the day, where they can wash or clean their belongings or go to the bathroom.

The director of the Union of French Solidarity Representatives, Florent Gygin, says that the centers where the homeless spend the night lack equipment, and masks to protect patients and staff, noting that they will be opened to the homeless patients who do not need hospital treatment, and the societies will run them.

To help the homeless - as the website says - French President Emmanuel Macron announced the extension of the "winter truce" until May 31, during which time additional reception spaces will be opened to protect the homeless from the cold, and the Minister of Housing has promised to vacate 2,000 places in hotels throughout France during the epidemic period to absorb them.

Hungry and without a home

For her part, the blog on the MediaPart Marion R website followed the conditions of some of the homeless people I met on the street, where they complained to her about the lack of passers-by who give them some cash, described their misfortune features, and described their solidarity at the entrance to the Carrefour store where they share their food .

The blog said that she left her house for the first time in days, so she was appalled by the situation of the displaced people, whom she met on the street next to her, and explained that they are hungry and need some cash, and are searching for a place to shelter.

And late, the blog said that knocking on the door surprised her and her friend, and when she opened, she found one of the homeless people who stood away from them apologizing, saying, "I am not a dangerous person and if you say no, I will stay away immediately." But she answered, "My roommate has everything. The money and the restaurant ticket."

And the blog adds: When you told him about the topic of hotels that would open for the homeless, he said, "I will sleep in the laundry room there, the manager left it open so we can sleep in it. If you have a quilt, I may need it, but if you don't have it, that's fine."
