In the clip, you hear regional director Jane Ydman talk about what the situation with the corona center currently looks like in Jönköping County and how preparedness is to be able to handle severely ill patients.

- It has been our strategy from the beginning that when it starts to shift up, we should use all three of our hospitals, says Jane Ydman.

Another death

On Thursday, the County of Jönköping County announced that another person who was confirmed to have coronary infection has died. Even now it is an elderly person with several serious underlying illnesses. It is the second death in the county. The first death occurred on Wednesday. At the same time, the number of coronavirus-infected persons in Sweden continues to increase and now more than 2,800 cases have been found. In Stockholm, the number has increased sharply in recent days, according to the Public Health Authority.

- The press in the health care there is quite decent, states state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

Don't know when the summit can reach Jönköping

Jane Ydman hopes that the different regions of the country will reach their peaks during different periods, that is when most people become ill and then decline. If the different peaks do not happen at the same time, there is hope from the Jönköping County side that the healthcare system around the country should be able to help each other as far as possible. But the uncertainty is great and when the peak can reach Jönköping County no one knows.

- We try to be quick-footed to bring up the capacity needed in such a case, says Jane Ydman.
