Today, the Cabinet approved a package of measures to support service providers for the government sector, and to direct ministries and federal government agencies to accelerate the disbursement of government benefits to suppliers within 15 days.
The procedures include exempting the affected suppliers from Covid 19 from the penalties for delay in the contracts of the federal government for a period of 3 months renewable and directing the purchases of the federal government agencies towards the suppliers and small and medium enterprises operating in the state by no less than 90%.
The decision comes within the framework of government measures to support the economy in the state in its various sectors and within the package of economic facilities provided by the government of the Emirates to various groups and supportive bodies in the government work system.
