A total of 1,065 elderly people died in the homes of Madrid in March, after the coronavirus outbreak broke out, according to data provided today by the Ministry of Social Policies of the Community of Madrid.

Of those 1,065 people, 760 have died in residence and 305 in hospital. The Ministry insists that deaths cannot be attributed exclusively to the coronavirus due to the lack of tests for its detection.

In addition, according to the Social Policies Area, 655 residents have tested positive, of which 388 are hospitalized. Similarly, there are 14,894 elderly people who are in isolation.
