The Director of the Ports Police Center in Dubai Police, Colonel Saeed Al-Madhani, affirmed the General Police’s keenness to use modern technology in working to implement government decisions in the areas of jurisdiction, the most recent of which was the temporary preventive closure of public beaches announced by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the National Authority To manage emergencies, crises and disasters, to prevent the spread of the new "Corona" virus, pointing out that the Dubai Police is conducting "drones" patrols, to verify the implementation of the decision and issue instructions, and broadcast audio messages of the need to evacuate those who may be on public beaches.

He explained that the Ports Police Center adopts the drone patrols in its daily work, through the "Nawras" project, which it is implementing in cooperation with the Drone Center in the Dubai Police, stressing that the conduct of unmanned aircraft in the marine and land areas of the Ports Police Center, aimed at strengthening Security and safety, following up marine accidents and navigation, public beaches and activities in these areas.

Al-Madhani said that the drones are equipped with cameras that have the ability to photograph events in coverage areas, whether during the day or night, in addition to containing amplifiers to broadcast the message that the Dubai police want to deliver to the public, and currently these amplifiers are used to communicate the message of the necessity Beach vacations, in implementation of the state’s decision to temporarily close it.

He called on the public to adhere to the precautionary instructions for the Corona virus, to stay away from gathering places, and to stay in their homes.
