At ten o'clock on Tuesday morning, police received a call about what later turned out to be a suspected serious robbery.

- I do not want to go into who called, but the person saw three men running to a car and then suspected that it could be a committed crime, said Thomas Agnevik, police spokesman.

Threatened staff

Once on the scene, the police confirmed that a robbery had taken place, but that the perpetrators had failed to bring anything of value.

- I do not want to go into what exactly happened because it is an ongoing preliminary investigation, but the perpetrators directed threats against the staff and they must have had some kind of weapon, Thomas Agnevik says.

Suspects sentenced for similar crimes

After police alerted the registration number to the car that the suspects should have used, three people could be arrested in central Norrköping. All three should previously be known to the police. One of the men is convicted of robbery and the other two are convicted of theft and drug crimes.

The police are working to interrogate witnesses and the victims.

- And so we do a forensic examination on the pizzeria and in the car. We will see if there are objects in the car that can be linked to the crime, says Thomas Agnevik.
