Corona: Death toll rises again in Italy, America may become epicenter

Official statistics documented showed a rise in the frequency of deaths and infections with the Corona virus in many countries of the world, while a scientific council in France expected that the closure should continue at least six weeks to contain the virus.

The total number of infections exceeded 9,400, and the total number of deaths was 18,000, while the number of people who recovered from the virus reached 107,000, almost a quarter of those infected.

China remained at the top of the list of injured, followed by Italy, the United States, Spain and Germany.

For his part, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said he hoped that soon he would be able to ease the restrictions of the closure in his country.

This came as the death toll from the Corona virus rose again, with 743 deaths recorded, after two days of decline, according to the Civil Defense toll.

This brings the number of deaths in Italy alone during the past 72 hours, nearly two thousand deaths, the highest death rate in one country since the virus began to emerge in January.

In France, a science council on Corona said Tuesday that the closure to contain the outbreak in France should likely last at least six weeks after its entry into force.

The Science Council, which advises French President Emmanuel Macron on the crisis, added that the closure is the only truly effective strategy at the moment. "The closure must be strictly enforced," he said in a statement.

In America, the World Health Organization has said that there is a very large acceleration in the number of HIV infections.

A WHO spokeswoman warned that the United States could become a hub for the outbreak of the virus.

The organization warned that 85% of Corona infections over the past 24 hours are from Europe and the United States. And she expected a big increase in the number of deaths.

In India, Indian Prime Minister Marindra Modi has said that a full ban will be implemented across India starting from midnight for three weeks.

The decision of the Indian Prime Minister comes after the registration of about five hundred confirmed cases of the Corona virus, and after health researchers warned that more than a million Indians could be infected with the virus.

Precaution
On the Arab level, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly announced several precautionary measures aimed at preventing the spread of corona in his country.

Madbouly said in a press conference on Tuesday that it was decided to impose a partial curfew on the movement of individuals from Wednesday from seven in the evening until six in the morning the following day, local time.

For his part, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called on the Egyptian people to fully comply with the precautionary measures that the government has approved to counter the spread of the Corona virus.

Al-Sisi said, in a post on social media, that these measures are urgent and would raise the levels of preventing the spread of the virus and reducing infection rates.

The Egyptian President affirmed that the state apparatuses will firmly and resolutely confront any attempts to disturb public order and within the framework of the law.

In Sudan, the government announced the registration of a new infection with the Corona virus inside the country, and it is a Sudanese coming from an Arab country, bringing the number of people infected with Corona virus in the country to three, one of whom died from his infection.

Faisal Muhammad Salih, Sudanese Minister of Information, said after the cabinet meeting that the injured Sudanese citizen came from an Arab country, and he was examined to prove that he was ill, while he was receiving treatment, and his contacts were subjected to quarantine.

The Jordanian Minister of Health announced the registration of 26 new cases of corona, taking the number of cases to 153.

Prevention of crowd

On the other hand, several areas in the capital, Amman and other governorates, witnessed violations of the defense order imposed by the government four days ago, by a curfew to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, criticized the manifestations of the gathering. He also praised the commitment of citizens in other regions to the ban, stressing that the news distribution process is continuing.

The Jordanian government had started the process of distributing bread, water and basic materials to citizens in their homes through buses designated for this purpose.

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 205 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of infections to 767.

The ministry confirmed the registration of the first death of the virus to an Afghan resident.

A spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Interior stressed the imposition of financial fines on anyone who questions the implementation of the curfew decision.

In Algeria, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of deaths due to the virus had risen to 19, and that the number of infected people was 264, after 34 new cases were recorded.

In Iraq, the Ministry of Health announced the diagnosis of fifty new HIV infections, bringing the number of people infected to 316.

The ministry added that it recorded the death of four injured people, bringing the number of deaths to 27, while 13 patients recovered today, bringing the number of similar patients to 75.
