The forces of the Libyan National Accord government announced yesterday, Sunday, that Khalifa Haftar militias attacked the Ain Zara axis south of Tripoli, despite their announcement Saturday that they would agree to a humanitarian truce.

This came in statements made by Mustafa Al-Mujie, spokesman for the media center for the anger volcano launched by the internationally recognized Al-Wefaq government.

Al-Majei said that clashes were taking place in Ain Zara axis, south of the capital, after an attack by the militia of Haftar, despite its acceptance of the humanitarian truce, to focus on efforts to combat Corona.

He added that Al-Wefaq forces are dealing with the attacking militias, which once again violate the cease-fire and the truce demanded by the United Nations.

Al-Majei pointed out that the artillery sounds that are heard from time to time are a response from Al-Wefaq forces to the sources of fire that target the civilian neighborhoods continuously.

Haftar Aviation
On the other hand, the Libyan National Accord government announced that it had seized - yesterday evening - a ship transporting aviation fuel to Khalifa Haftar's forces.

The Commander of the Naval Combat Axis, Operation Rage Volcano, said that the coast guard and port security seized the vessel at sea, which bears the name Golf Petroleum 4, and raises the flag of Liberia.

And condemned the Libyan National Oil Corporation - the past two - illegal imports of aviation fuel from the Emirates, carried out by the eastern region under the control of Haftar during the past days.

The Foundation said in a statement that the arrival of a fuel shipment to the port of Benghazi represents a clear violation of the arms embargo imposed by the United Nations on Libya since 2011, and is in violation of the exclusive right of the National Oil Corporation, agreed internationally.

She explained that the shipment arrived in Benghazi, coming from the Emirates, on board the Gulf Petroleum 4 ship.

Libyans accuse the UAE of supporting Haftar's forces with arms, money and fighters, to serve its interests in the oil-rich country, which Abu Dhabi usually denies.

unifying efforts
For his part, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on all parties in Libya to unite their efforts to confront the threat posed by Corona, and to ensure the unimpeded access of humanitarian aid to all parts of the country.

A few days ago, the United Nations, the European Union, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and Algeria called on all parties to the Libyan conflict to a humanitarian truce to help the government confront Corona.

Ahmed al-Mesmari, a spokesman for the militia of Haftar - Saturday - said that Haftar welcomes the United Nations and Western and Arab countries to a humanitarian truce in Libya, to focus on efforts to combat Corona.

But Al-Mesmari's statement coincided with the breach of the Hifter militia, which was previously reached by Turkish-Russian efforts, which carried out an attack on residential neighborhoods in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, behind two injuries.
