The highest death toll so far in Italy

Previously, the highest figure was 627 people. A total of 4,825 people have now died in Italy due to the virus.

During the past 24 hours, 943 people have also been declared healthy.

A total of 53,578 people have been found infected with the coronavirus in Italy. The Lombardy region in the north of the country has been worst hit. More than half of the deaths have occurred there.
