Confidence in government down

Main lesson of this new survey: two indicators relating to the management of the crisis by the government deteriorate clearly. Only 46% of French people say they are confident about the way the government is managing the crisis. This is 7 points less compared to the same poll on Friday, which revealed that the majority of French people were still confident (53%).

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> What do we know about the lifespan of the epidemic?

> Update on the exit permit required to travel

> How long are we contagious?

> How to obtain a compensated work stoppage in order to keep your children?

> Our advice if you are sick at home

The other indicator is that of confidence in the information on the coronavirus distilled by the public authorities. Only 50% of respondents say they have confidence, a result down by 5 points. This general decline in confidence concerns all categories of the population, with the exception of LREM supporters.

Pessimism

The deterioration of confidence seems to be partly explained by the controversy about the distribution and the lack of masks. In this context, pessimism is gaining ground. 75% of French people believe that the worst is yet to come, 3 points more compared to Friday.
