The President of the Calabria Region Jole Santelli has communicated that he has closed the municipality of Cutro in the province of Crotone. The ordinance became necessary following the number of Coronavirus positivity cases recorded in the past few days, Santelli said. It is the third "closure" order of a Calabrian municipality adopted since the beginning of the health emergency: the first two municipalities were Montebello Jonico (Reggio Calabria), where the first death occurred in the region, and San Lucido (Cosenza ).

Even the ordinance relating to Cutro - explains Santelli - "provides for the ban on the removal from the municipal territory by all the individuals present, the ban on access to the municipal territory, the suspension of the activities of the public offices. The payment is however guaranteed of essential services and utilities. The municipal borders - underlines the president of the Region - health and social and health workers, staff engaged in emergency-related activities, operators who have permitted activities in the area and those strictly instrumental but all will have the obligation to use personal protective equipment. The ordinance - concludes Santelli - allows the return to one's home, home or residence ".
