Small health centers in the inland want to avoid being hospitalized during a crisis

Dan Thorn, head of operations at, among others, the health center in Norsjö explains:

- We work on the basis of the strategy that we should not have to end up in that situation because it requires both material and human resources that we do not have today.

But Västerbotten also has seven hospitals (Malå, Sorsele, Storuman, Tärnaby, Vilhelmina, Dorotea and Åsele), which function as small hospitals and together have more than 30 places.

"It is quite possible that we can help with our care sites," says Annelie Lindström, who is head of operations at Malå Hospital.
