Stoltenberg promised the early entry of Northern Macedonia into NATO

Stoltenberg’s speech with the annual report on the status of the alliance for 2019 was broadcast on his Twitter.

"After all the allies (alliance countries. - RT ) have completed the process of ratification of the accession protocol, Northern Macedonia will become the 30th NATO member in the very near future," he said.

In February, the parliament of Northern Macedonia ratified the country's accession to NATO.

In November 2019, Stoltenberg predicted that North Macedonia could become a full member of NATO in early 2020.
