The district nurse reception in Ammarnäs will reduce staffing. The reason is a staff shortage as new nurses are to be trained at Sorsele hospital.
- It is unfortunate, this is the start of a concern that we will have. Looking ahead, the major challenge for health care will be to ensure that we get staff, says Peter Olofsson (S), regional council in Region Västerbotten.
The Ammarnäs residents are upset over the decision and want the politicians in the region to come to the village to talk to them and see for themselves how it works. Peter Olofsson is in favor of the call.
- I think so absolutely, one of our most important tasks is to be out and talk to citizens.
