The commander of the Ras Al Khaimah Police, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al-Nuaimi, revealed the leadership’s launch of a video-teleservice service between inmates of penal facilities and their families, in a free humanitarian initiative for its inmates aimed at strengthening precautionary and preventive measures to provide a safe and healthy environment.

Al-Nuaimi stated that the pioneering initiative that was implemented and self-developed in coordination between the departments of electronic services and the penal and correctional institution, where the inmates' families submit an electronic request to visit their relatives of inmates through the application of the Ministry of Interior, and then a text message is sent to the applicant with the link to make the video call and its timing Specified, through the website of the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

The Commander in Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that this initiative is also aimed at facilitating the task of communication between inmates and their families, which is a service guaranteed by the Ras Al Khaimah Police Command, out of the strategy and vision of the Ministry of Interior, which gave the inmates of the penal and correctional facilities all their attention and care.
