A spokesman for the "Expo 2020 Dubai" exhibition confirmed yesterday that the exhibition is moving forward towards its launch next October, despite the outbreak of the Corona virus.
The spokesman said in a statement that "Expo 2020 Dubai" closely follows the current developments, and takes reasonable precautions to contain and mitigate the risk for Expo participants.
He added, "As we continue to prepare for this event, we will work to change the planned preparations whenever conditions require." He continued: "We will continue to follow the latest directives issued by the Dubai Health Authority, the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization," noting that "the Dubai Expo" works closely with the UAE authorities and the International Bureau of Exhibitions in Paris.
