Cyprus bans passenger flights from 28 countries due to COVID-19

The relevant decree of the Minister of Health of Cyprus, Konstantinos Ioann, is published on the website of the Press and Information Department.

“From 3:00 a.m. Cyprus time (4:00 Moscow time - RT ) on March 21, 2020 for 14 days it is forbidden, except for cargo flights, to fly to Larnaca and Paphos airports,” the document says.

The list of countries includes Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, UK and Greece.

As clarifies RIA Novosti, in Cyprus recorded 49 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus.
