The French president's office, Elysee Palace, said the G7 leaders will have a remote videoconference on the 16th to discuss countermeasures against the spread of Corona 19.

The G7 online meeting was held at the suggestion of President Emmanuel Macron of France, who was chairman of the G7 summit last year, Elysee Palace said.

The G7 is the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Japan, and the spread of Corona 19 is increasing in these countries.

"We decided to hold a summit to organize research on vaccines and treatments and to create economic and financial countermeasures," said President McLong.

Earlier this month, G7 finance ministers issued a statement that resolved to take a joint response to address the adverse effects of the global economy from Corona19.
