The preliminary investigation started after Peter Gembäck, who came to Knutby in 1997 and was one of the highest levels of power in the congregation, in September 2017 entered the police house in Uppsala and reported himself and the other two pastors. He has admitted a case of abuse and a case of unlawful coercion.

Long trialThe third pastor was forced away by the members four years ago. He was charged with being sexually abused by a person in a dependency position, and has said during the trial that he and the 17-year-old have had a relationship, but claim the girl was "driving".

The 10-day trial began on January 14 and was initially open to the general public and journalists - the rest was held behind closed doors so that not one of the victims' identities would be revealed.
The verdict falls at 14 o'clock.
