Pompeo commented on sanctions against another Rosneft subsidiary

He said the United States "imposed sanctions to put Maduro at the negotiating table."

“Today we have imposed sanctions on TNK Trading International, which Rosneft owns, to strengthen the isolation of the regime and bring the people of Venezuela closer to freedom and prosperity,” wrote Pompeo.

Earlier, the United States added to the sanctions list of Rosneft's daughter TNK Trading International.

The United States accuses Rosneft and its subsidiaries of supplying Venezuelan oil to foreign markets.
