“But, as Arashukov says, he did not even receive a response to his statements from the administration of the detention center,” the channel’s interlocutor said.

The administration of the Lefortovo jail stated that it was not possible to issue a specialized mattress.

“The representative of the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center administration explained to the members of the commission that they cannot satisfy it (request. - RT ), since there are no orthopedic mattresses in the isolation ward, and their transfer from the will is not provided for by the internal regulations,” the PM added.

At the same time, the pre-trial detention center refused to give Arashukov a second mattress, as this is also not provided for by the internal rules.

At the end of February, Rauf Arashukov said that he reads “War and Peace” in the pre-trial detention center and plans to read Valentin Pikul’s novels.

He explained that he asked the administration of the pre-trial detention center to give him a small battery lamp so as not to spoil his vision while reading.

In late January, Rauf Arashukov was charged under three counts related to contract killings.
