The Supreme Princess cruise ship carried more than 3,500 people from 54 countries, and at least 21 people tested positive for the new coronavirus, including 19 staff members. Any passengers with new symptoms of pneumonia when disembarking will remain in Auckland for treatment.

It is reported that the 962 California residents on board will complete isolation at the Miramar Marine Station or at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California. The Miramar Marine Station can receive up to 400 evacuees.

Passengers need to be checked by local agencies and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) before San Diego County health officials confirm how many people will be placed in military facilities.

Passengers who test positive for the new coronavirus during the quarantine will be removed from the base, and those in need of hospitalization will be sent to the hospital for quarantine.
