Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen held a live press conference on Wednesday evening on the occasion of the spread of the corona virus in Denmark.

In Denmark, 514 people have been infected and ten people have been affected by critical symptoms.

Now the Danish government, with Mette Frederiksen, is implementing a series of measures to stop the spread of the virus.
Among other things, all public schools and preschools are closed from Monday.

"We urge everyone who can keep their children at home," says Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen at the press conference.

Public employees who do not work on critical items are also sent home. All cultural institutions will remain closed for the next two weeks and in addition, they are urging associations and faith communities to do the same.

Maximum 100 people in public gatherings

As of Monday, the Danish government bans the gathering of people of more than 100 people, writes Denmark's radio on its website.

She also points out that the country is not facing any food crisis and urges people not to stockpile food.

- We have a public health crisis and it is up to us to decide how to get through it, says Mette Fredriksen.

Justice Minister Morgan Johansson (S) does not rule out that Sweden could introduce similar measures.

- You should not do this at this stage. It is difficult to know how things are going. We follow this day by day and we get new recommendations and new decisions that our expert authorities think we should take then the government will do it with great urgency in the same way we have done here tonight, he tells SVT News.
