Earlier, an assistant to the head of the Pentagon, Jonathan Hoffman, at a briefing, said that Turkey would not receive an American Patriot until it returned to Russia the purchased S-400 air defense systems.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared the impossibility of abandoning the S-400.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu explained that Ankara bought the S-400 because it requested air defense systems from France and the United States, but was refused.
