Government agencies (bodies and departments) in Abu Dhabi started partial and gradual activation of the long-distance system for a large number of their employees, especially in the office sectors, and other parties are preparing to implement the system during the next few days, after their employees completed extensive technical and technical training programs on this System, to prevent the repercussions of the spread of the (Covid-19) virus, known as the "corona".

Others have taken precautionary measures to protect their employees from any infectious diseases during the current period, most notably the postponement of some group activities and activities, workshops and training programs, in addition to tightening preventive measures for the time of newly returned employees from outside the state.

In detail, the sources told «Emirates Today», preferring not to publish their names, that government agencies in Abu Dhabi started activating the remotely system gradually and partially, within the framework of the “decentralized” precautionary plan, to prevent the repercussions of the spread of the (Covid 19) virus known as Corona.

The sources stated that among the entities that started the gradual activation of the remote system gradually, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, which announced the success of the application of the system to 100 of its employees, as well as the Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety, which applied the system to a large number of its departments, especially related to business Desktop.

While other parties are preparing, according to the sources, to activate the "permanence from a distance" during the next few days, after their employees ended extensive technical and technical training programs on this system, as the exercises included the mechanism of holding meetings remotely via "video conferencing" techniques, and conducting daily work through Modern technologies and digital means are available in each side, in addition to communicating with other business parties, and customers via Video Call technology to meet the requirements for training and awareness, as well as answering any customer inquiries.

The sources pointed out that some parties decided to postpone some of the external and internal activities of their employees, especially that require large gatherings, as well as some internal and external training tasks were canceled, as well as the postponement of some conferences and unnecessary meetings, which can be dispensed without disrupting the progress of work.

The sources stressed that government agencies have prepared and advance plans prepared for emergency and crisis situations, which are gradually activated according to the need, to ensure the safety of the work environment and the health of employees, pointing out that one of the most important of these measures is not to allow the time for returning employees from abroad, especially from the affected countries, including Returnees from external training programs or conferences, until 14 days have passed since they returned from abroad, and made sure that they are free of the virus.

The National Emergency and Crisis Authority revealed a tendency to expand the scope of application of the remote work system, based on the developments of the situation, stressing that all institutions are ready to implement this system with their employees without any disturbance of the workflow.

The commission indicated that it stands for all evaluations and possible scenarios, to contain everything related to the "Corona" virus to prevent transmission to others, through the National Operations Center at the headquarters of the commission.

The results of an opinion poll - conducted by «Emirates Today» via its digital platforms, on supporting the application of the remote work system to some jobs, with the increase in cases of the emergence of the Corona virus emerging around the world - that 89% of the participants on Facebook support the application of the system Remote work, as supported by 84% of the participants on "Instagram", and 82% on "Twitter", with an average of about 85%.

Sources indicated to «Emirates Today» that the human resources departments in a number of entities have informed the employees who wish to travel abroad during the coming period, that they must report the destination of travel to which they will leave, pointing out that they have been informed that they will not be allowed to resume and direct Work only after 14 days of their return from abroad, and stressed that the procedures for travel came in implementation of the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection recently, and in the interest of employee safety and maintaining a healthy and healthy work environment.
