Burglars get the best of them, especially when it comes to finding tricks to rip people off. Unscrupulous, some take advantage in recent days of the news around the coronavirus to defraud fragile audiences.

A trend noted by the Gers gendarmes who decided to alert the population via social networks. The soldiers warn "if door-to-door salespeople, allegedly municipal employees, offering to disinfect your home following the coronavirus epidemic, ring your doorbell".

They advise that no one be allowed to enter their home, "under any circumstances". According to a well-established scenario, they come dressed in coveralls and disinfectors. The crooks then take the opportunity to check for the presence of valuables or an alarm, and sometimes even steal goods.
