The Corona virus declined sharply in China, but it continued to spread in the Middle East, Europe, America and Africa, prompting many countries to take decisive measures to contain the epidemic that has so far afflicted 110,000 and killed more than 3,800 people.
Below is a list of the most important developments related to the Corona virus:
Warning and two positive messages
"After the Coruna virus has spread to a large number of countries, the risk of a pandemic has become very real," said the Director-General of the World Health Organization.
But he realizes that "it will be the first epidemic in history that can be controlled. We are not at the mercy of the virus, because the decisions we all make can influence the course" of the epidemic.
The director of the organization sent another positive message that most of those injured will be cured, pointing out that out of "80 thousand injuries recorded in China, more than 70% recovered."
The situation in China
The Chinese Public Health Committee said at dawn today, Tuesday, that the mainland of China recorded 19 new cases of coronavirus yesterday, down from 40 cases the previous day.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland to 80,754 cases so far.
The total number of deaths in China stood at 3,136 as of Monday, 17 more than the previous day. All these new deaths in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, are the epicenter of the epidemic.
In South Korea, the number of deaths reached 35. In the Philippines , President Rodrigo Duterte declared a public health emergency, and ordered the suspension of study at all levels in the capital for five days due to the increase in the number of Coronavirus infections in the country to 24.
Najaf under the stone and 59 injuries in Egypt
And the local authorities in the Iraqi province of Najaf announced a one-week ban on entering and leaving the province to reduce the spread of Corona.
The number of injuries throughout Iraq reached 67, including seven deaths.
Egypt continued to isolate a cruise ship in Luxor after diagnosing the injury of 45 of its passengers and crew. The ship is carrying tourists from France, America, and India.
The injured are being treated in an Egyptian hospital, at a time when the rest have had to remain on board the ship until the expiry of the isolation period.
On Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of four new cases of the Coronavirus, bringing the number of cases to 59.
Earlier, Egypt announced the first death from the Corona virus on its soil, which is a German tourist aged 60 years.
In Lebanon , the Ministry of Health said that nine new cases of Coronavirus have brought the total number of people infected in the country to 41.
For its part, the Palestinian government confirmed the increase in the number of people infected with the virus to 26.
Corona in the Gulf
The Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of five new cases of coronavirus. This brings the total number of injuries in Saudi Arabia to 20.
In the Sultanate of Oman , the Ministry of Health announced that the number of injured persons was 18, after two new cases were recorded for citizens from Iran.
On Monday, the UAE announced 14 cases of corona, bringing the total to 59, and the Ministry of Health said in a statement that among the new cases were four Emiratis and three Italians.
In Qatar, the number of infections reached 18 cases, and the government announced the suspension of studies in schools and universities from Tuesday to prevent the spread of the virus.
Bahrain closed a unit in a main hospital in Manama after it was confirmed that a trainee was infected with the virus, according to the Bahrain News Agency yesterday, quoting the Ministry of Health.
The agency said that the authorities also stopped the travel of Bahraini officials abroad until further notice, and the country recorded 95 cases of the virus.
Italy is under quarantine .. and figures from Europe
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte called on his citizens to "avoid movements" between regions of the country, and imposed a ban on gathering, in an attempt to combat the rapid spread of the emerging Corona virus.
In a firm tone, Conte said during a press conference held at the government headquarters, "I will sign a decree that can be summarized as follows: I need my house. There will be no red zone on the peninsula ... Italy as a whole will become a protected area."
It is noteworthy that the number of injuries in Italy exceeded 9,000, of whom 463 died.
In a related context, seven prisoners were killed in riots in overcrowded prisons throughout Italy due to the measures to contain the Corona virus.
Spain has counted 28 new deaths from the Corona virus and 1,204 people, according to a death toll from the Ministry of Health on Monday evening.
In Britain , the number of deaths due to the virus rose to five, and infections to 309. In Sweden , the number of infections reached 248.
On Monday, Germany announced the first two deaths from the new Corona virus, while the number of infections nationwide reached 112.
In France , a source close to the Ministry of Culture said that Minister Frank Rester was infected with Corona virus, explaining that he is 46 years old and "in good shape."
The source stated that Rester had not met President Emmanuel Macron for several days.
To date, the Corona virus has caused 25 deaths in France and infected 1,412 people.
Cyprus announced on Monday that it had recorded two cases of corona, which means that the virus is spreading in all 27 European Union countries.
The United States ... the virus has approached Trump
The number of injuries in the U.S. increased to 722, while the number of deaths reached 26.
US Vice President Mike Pence said he did not know whether President Donald Trump had been tested for Corona, after reports that the president shook hands with a lawmaker now subject to a voluntary quarantine.
This lawmaker is Doug Collins, who appeared in the photo standing behind Trump during the Conservative Conference known as "Sepak" at the end of last month.
Earlier, the Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that four American lawmakers put themselves in an optional quarantine after shaking hands with an infected Corona.
The US military said that the commander of US forces in Europe, along with a number of employees, may have been exposed to the Corona virus at a recent conference.
In Canada, an elderly person died in Corona, at a nursing home in British Columbia, with Canada recording the first death of the virus on its soil.
The virus also infected two other inmates and a nurse in the abovementioned house located in North Vancouver, which can house about two hundred elderly people.
Iran .. Death with the wrong medicine
Twenty-seven Iranian people have died from consuming methanol after rumors spread that consuming alcohol helps cure the emerging corona virus.
A spokesman for a hospital in Ahvaz said that 218 people were hospitalized with poisoning.
As of Sunday, Iran had registered 69 deaths in Koruna, including 16 cases in Khuzestan province, according to IRNA.
Corona in the Maghreb
In Tunisia , the Minister of Health announced the registration of three new infections, including one local infection, bringing the total number of cases to five confirmed cases.
The Minister of Health said that his country suspended flights and sea to and from Italy with the exception of Rome.
Algeria has recorded 20 cases of HIV, mostly from one family from Blida, 50 km south of the capital.
In Morocco , Prime Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani said on Twitter that his country suspended all flights to and from Italy due to the Corona virus. And Morocco has previously announced two cases of the virus.
The virus has arrived in Burkina Faso
On Monday, the Minister of Health of Burkina Faso announced the first two cases of coronavirus.
The Minister told reporters that the two patients, a man and his wife, had recently returned to Burkina Faso from a visit to France, and that they were now under isolation.
Earlier, several countries in southern and western Africa announced the discovery of cases of the Coronavirus.
