“The court should discuss a number of issues and make an appropriate decision. This means that we are forced to interrupt the hearing now until Monday, March 23, 10:00 (12:00 Moscow time. - RT ), ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Later, the judge of the Hague District Court, Maria Kneif, in charge of working with the media, said that the court was postponed to decide on an additional investigation, the possibility of interrogating new witnesses and a number of other issues.

“The prosecutor’s office today asked the court to make decisions, including on further investigation of the case, investigation of the reconstruction site of the MH17 crash, interrogation of new witnesses,” she said.

The trial of the MH17 case in the Netherlands started on March 9th.

Earlier, a Dutch prosecutor in a disaster trial said that an anonymous “witness M58” stated that he allegedly saw “Russian soldiers” before the launch of the Buk air defense system on the day of the crash of MH17 in 2014.

As noted in the Permanent Mission of Russia to the OSCE, the Russian side considers this court to be a politicized “trial”.

In February, it became known that the prosecution of the Netherlands brought charges against four defendants in the MH17 case. Dutch prosecutor Fred Westerbeck said the SSG has witnessed the launch of the Buk missile.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called the SSG’s allegations of "involvement" of the Russians in the crash as unfounded and announced attempts to pressure the Netherlands in the Hague District Court before the hearing of the crash.
