Dubai Future Foundation, in partnership with the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, launched the first batch of the Dubai Future Experts Program, with the participation of employees from the upper and middle levels of management in 14 government agencies in Dubai.

The first phase of the program launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, continues over a period of six months, and includes a set of lectures, workshops and practical training on future prospecting skills, design strategies and mechanisms for their application, and building the skills of associates In managing future projects, developing initiatives and concepts of future leadership.

The program was launched in the "Dubai District for the Future" in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, Abdullah Al Basti, and the CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation Khalfan Juma Belhoul, and a number of managers and government officials.

The Dubai Future Experts program includes three levels, allowing affiliates the opportunity to graduate from a "future analyst" to a "future executive" and then "future strategist", while each associate will prepare innovative projects and research studies on the future of the sector in which it operates.

The program, which was developed by Dubai Future Academy, in cooperation with a group of experts and specialists from all over the world, provides an opportunity for associates to develop their capabilities in anticipating and designing the future, developing legislation and policies to keep pace with its changes and requirements, and supporting a culture of leadership in anticipating the future of strategic sectors in the Emirate of Dubai.

Abdullah Al Basti stressed that the program contributes to activating the role of national talent in government work, and enhancing the culture of forward-looking and designing the future in government agencies in Dubai, noting that “developing national capabilities and providing them with tools for building the future is our way to create a new generation of cadres able to continue our development process, and accelerate Our efforts to create the future, and based on this, the Dubai Future Experts Program initiative will contribute to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its affiliates in areas that keep pace with our trends in shaping the future, such as strategic thought, social intelligence, project management, and looking ahead to the future. H, and constitutes a new episode of a series of government initiatives to supplement the vital and strategic sectors of our national competencies that can make the difference, and make a quantum leap in our journey to anticipate the future ».

For his part, Khalfan Juma Belhoul stressed that the Dubai Future Experts Program is based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the best global city for designing and making the future, by relying on its capable national cadres, and encouraging them To acquire the skills and tools necessary to support the leadership of the UAE in the world.

He said: «The program will provide an opportunity for Emirati cadres to exchange experiences and knowledge, and learn about international best practices, so that they can come up with future ideas that help government agencies in Dubai to develop a renewed system of methodologies for designing the future, and contribute to improving government performance to make a qualitative shift in the quality of life in society» .

The Dubai Program for Future Experts contributes to developing the skills of associates in the areas of strategic thinking and social intelligence, foreseeing and designing the future and the scientific, cultural and technological sectors, decision-making and developing policies, laws and legislations, and employing various tools to identify opportunities for creating new economic regions in the UAE in various sectors.

The program also provides an opportunity for associates to learn about the best international experiences and practices in the field of prospecting the future, through visits and field work tours in the UAE and abroad.

Evaluation mechanism and selection of associates

Participants in the Dubai Future Experts Program were selected after evaluating applications for affiliation from more than 80 government agencies in many sectors, including media, culture, tourism, economy, health, technology, infrastructure, and others. The nomination evaluation phase included interactive tests, aimed at identifying the candidate's skills in thinking, forecasting and making the right decisions, in addition to personal interviews conducted by a specialized jury from the Executive Council and the Dubai Future Foundation at the "Future Office", with the aim of assessing their capabilities and capabilities in improving the performance of government sectors, and developing Future projects supporting the efforts of Dubai and the Emirates.
