New Turkish military reinforcements entered observation points in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, yesterday, while Germany called on Turkey to abide by the agreements to obtain additional financial aid to support the refugees.

The sources said that the Turkish army established a new military post near the town of Zardana, in the northern countryside adjacent to the province of Aleppo, while the remaining reinforcements were distributed to observation points in Idlib countryside.

The frames included tanks and heavy military vehicles, along with logistical reinforcements, fuel and water tanks and food vehicles.

And the Syrian opposition media reported, on Sunday, that a Turkish military convoy, comprising about 300 vehicles, entered Syria, noting that it is the largest that has entered the country since the last Turkish ground intervention in Idlib.

Those sources indicated that the Turkish convoy entered from the Kafrlusen crossing, the day before yesterday, towards the town of Abyan Samaan, west of Aleppo.

On the other hand, the Turkish Defense Ministry said that a Russian military delegation will visit Ankara today, as part of the follow-up to the cease-fire agreement in Idlib, which was reached in Moscow a few days ago.

The agreement aims to contain the conflict that led to the displacement of nearly a million people within three months, and has sparked fears of a military confrontation between Turkey and Russia.

Joint patrols of Turkish and Russian forces are scheduled to begin there on March 15.

On the other hand, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas linked Turkey's access to possible additional financial assistance to support refugees by adhering to the agreements.

"We will never refuse dialogue when there is a lack of funding for the humanitarian supplies necessary for life for refugees, whether it is in Turkey, Idlib, Jordan or Lebanon, but this requires Turkey to stick to its share," Mas said in statements to the newspapers of the German "Fonke" media group, issued yesterday. In the agreements ».

Mas added: "Europe's message to Turkey is clear: We support a fair distribution of burdens, but we will not accept the abuse of individuals, who are already suffering from a miserable situation, as a political mortgage."
