“The United Russia faction in the second reading will support the bill to amend the Constitution,” Medvedev said in a statement on the party’s website.

It is noted that "United Russia" calls on other factions to support the bill as well.

Medvedev said that the proposed changes to the fundamental law strengthen the state’s social obligations to citizens.

Earlier, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that all factions of the lower house of the Russian parliament support the presidential amendments to the Constitution.
