"The government of Canada has allocated a plane to return the Canadians who are on board the Grand Princess off the west coast of the United States after the outbreak of the COVID-19 on this cruise ship," the document says.

It is noted that the decision to evacuate was made after a request from the United States.

It is clarified that Canadians from San Francisco will be delivered to Trenton’s Canadian Air Force Base and subsequently quarantined for two weeks.

Earlier media reported that the Grand Princess cruise ship with passengers infected with coronavirus infection received permission to enter the port of the American city of Auckland.

According to March 7, US Vice President Michael Pence, 21 people on board the Grand Princess confirmed the infection with COVID-19.
