Thousands of migrants are at the border with Greece. Stone throwing and tear gas have occurred, and Turkey accuses Greece of shooting sharply and killing at least one migrant - which Greece strongly denies.

- This is a very serious situation at the border. People who are already in a vulnerable situation have become tiles in a game in a very unpleasant way, says Ylva Johansson in SVT's Agenda.

"A fundamental right"

Johansson defends Greece's right to defend its border.

- The EU's borders are not open and should not be, she says

At the same time, she believes that the asylum stop Greece now introduced must be lifted.

- You cannot deny people the right to seek asylum. It is a fundamental right in relation to the Geneva Convention and the EU acquis.
