The criminal court in Dubai commenced the trial of three Africans, on charges of stealing a million dirhams under duress from an Arab man, after being lured with a hoax to buy a property, then assaulting him and trying to hit him with a car, causing his injury, and fleeing the money.

The victim (53 years old), in the Public Prosecution investigation, said that «the second accused in the case accused him of completing a deal to buy a property in Dubai, and met him in the Al Mamzar area, and met the first accused there, and the latter asked him to show the amount in his possession to ensure that he was serious about buying The real estate, and when the money was shown, the first accused surprised him and stole the sum and fled in the street, so the victim pursued him, but the accused got up in a vehicle, and the victim tried to confront the vehicle, but the third accused driver turned his side, so he fell to the ground and was injured, and the accused escaped with money. A witness from Dubai Police said, "A report was reported about the theft of one million dirhams from an investor in the Al Mamzar area, and by asking the victim he stated that he had been deceived by a person who claimed to be a real estate broker, offered him an apartment of one million dirhams, then two surprised him and stole it, so the second accused, the fake broker was arrested And, through him, the first and third accused were arrested, and they were referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution, which referred them to the criminal court.
