Even if large gatherings have been advised against in recent times to limit the spread of the coronavirus, they would not have missed the event for nothing in the world. On Saturday, the town of Landerneau in Finistère transformed into the world capital of the Smurfs with precisely 3,549 people who were disguised as little blue men and women, as reported by Le Télégramme .

Landerneau thus pulverizes the world record for the largest gathering of Smurfs which was so far held by the German city of Lauchringen where 2,762 Smurfs had been listed on February 16, 2019. With this record, the Carnival of the Starry Moon team , who organized the event, provided a nice spotlight on his carnival which will be held from April 3 to 5.
