Astrid Conde had spent half his life in the bush and four years behind bars. She was released from prison, thanks to the peace agreement of 2016. She had resumed studies and militated, like her former comrades-in-arms, within the Common Alternative Revolutionary Force, the party of the FARC.

Astrid Conde was killed outside the house in broad daylight. Police say they arrested the killer. No one doubts that he is a hit man.

The FARC party has issued a statement denouncing the extermination campaign against it, which is being waged before the eyes of a lazy government. Human rights defenders also denounce the government's inaction and its responsibility.

It should be remembered that the targeted assassinations target in addition to the former guerrillas, peasant leaders and local activists. President Ivan Duque attributes these assassinations to settling scores or to the action of drug traffickers. Without proof, since impunity is almost total, the United Nations has just worried.

In total, 188 FARC members have been murdered since they laid down their arms and resumed civilian life, including 15 since the start of the year.
