■ The Criminal Court in Dubai started the trial of three Africans who forcibly stole 300 dirhams and a mobile phone from an Asian after they attacked it while entering a building. The court examined another case of the defendants themselves using the same method against a seller in a grocery store.
■ A gold bracelet inlaid with diamonds tempted a waiter in a restaurant when he saw her under a table on which a customer was sitting, and stole it, and when the man came back and asked about her, he denied seeing it, prompting its owner to inform the police who seized the accused and referred him to the Public Prosecution and from there to the criminal court where his trial is currently taking place .
