The Abu Dhabi Federal Court ruled the innocent of a 27-year-old African from the charge of possessing a drug called “hemp” for the purpose of trafficking, based on several reasons including her conviction that the accused was unaware of the nature of the content of a box containing bags that his uncle gave him in their countries to deliver to people in the country, which contained Narcotic substances.

Defense attorney for the accused, Advocate Raqia Ali Muhammad, argued that the accused was arrested without obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution, and based on information received from his colleague in the house, without making any investigations, in addition to that the accused does not use narcotic drugs, and it is likely that The seized material belongs to another person.

According to the Public Prosecution investigations and case papers, a colleague of the accused came to the police with a scroll suspected of being a marijuana drug, and was informed that his co-workers in the staff housing suspected that the accused was selling these materials, being kept in his belongings, receiving contacts at different times, opening his bag and obtaining On some winders and hand it over to strangers.

On the basis of this information, the police moved to the residence, the accused was summoned and was confused and faced him with information, but he denied, and allowed them to search his belongings, in his presence, and found 10 boxes containing rolls inside which he suspected to be marijuana, and the accused showed his surprise in being in his luggage.

And by asking him in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, he stated that his uncle gave him the value of the travel ticket to the state to find work in return for bringing the seizures that he told him that it was a type of tea used for slimming, and he entered it regularly, and kept it in his residence, and delivered two boxes to people at the request of his uncle Noting that he was handing them the cans and receiving the fee, thinking it was tea.
