In India, several people have lost their lives this past week in violent religious clashes as a result of a new, heavily criticized citizen's law. The law makes it easier for all migrants to obtain citizenship except for Muslim migrants, and the UN has for the first time appealed a law to the Supreme Court of India.
Muslims who feel discriminated against, and even other Indians, have gone out into the streets in protest, which has now become so large that it resembles a gigantic mass movement. And one thing that stands out about the protests is that they are mainly driven by Muslim women.
