Added to "Dangerous driving" regulations, such as stopping for the purpose of impeding traffic Decision for amendment decided March 9:43

In response to a series of dangerous pitching operations, the government decided at a Cabinet meeting on June 6 that the vehicle would stop in front of a car driving on a highway or be very close to it to block traffic. We have decided to revise the Driving Penalty Act to add such rules to the "risk driving" regulations.

In the revised bill, two types are added to the provisions of "Dangerous driving" in the Act on Penalties for Car Driving.

The two new types are stopping and approaching in front of a moving car at speeds that would create significant traffic hazards, both with the purpose of obstructing traffic; Stopping or slowing down by stopping or approaching in front of a car running on a dedicated road.

The government has submitted a proposal for amendment to the current Diet and aims to pass it.
