“The disease is mild”: six coronavirus detected in six Russians returning from Italy

In Russia over the past day, six new cases of infection with the coronavirus COVID-2019 were recorded. The operational headquarters for monitoring and monitoring the situation reported that five patients were found in Moscow, one in Nizhny Novgorod.

All infected returned to Russia from Italy. In Moscow, they were placed in the boxes of the Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1 and the hospital complex in Kommunarka. The headquarters said that in most cases the disease proceeds in a mild form.

“The disease in four patients is mild. One of the patients is in a moderate state. His treatment is carried out by a highly qualified team of doctors at the hospital in Kommunarka. All hospitalized receive a full range of diagnostic and treatment measures, ”RIA Novosti quoted the headquarters as saying.

Specialists are also engaged in determining the circle of contacts of patients. Their loved ones are already under surveillance. To date, three have recorded signs of acute respiratory viral infections, they are sent to the hospital.

It is noted that most of the new infected most of the time were at home.

“Only one patient attended classes at the university. At the moment, its training group in its entirety is undergoing inspection and sampling of biomaterials for the study, ”the headquarters said.

In addition, Anastasia Rakova, deputy mayor of the capital for social development, said the first coronavirus case in Moscow could soon be discharged. According to her, the hospitalized patient has already confirmed several times tests that showed the absence of infection.

As follows from the message of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the only infected resident of the region the disease also passes in a mild form. We are talking about a girl born in 1993, who herself turned to doctors with signs of ARVI upon returning from a trip to Milan. The patient is in satisfactory condition.

Later, all the Russians who arrived from Italy at headquarters were asked to ask for help and not leave their home. It follows from the message that the information was sent to passengers of a number of flights en route to Moscow from Milan, Verona, Munich and Chisinau.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin ordered the introduction of high alert in the capital due to the threat of the spread of the disease. From the order signed by the mayor, it follows that the city “reinforced the requirements for routine check-ups and monitoring of citizens arriving from countries with an unfavorable situation for coronavirus infection”.

According to another decree of the mayor of Moscow, students from educational institutions who arrived from countries that are unfavorable for the new coronavirus will not be allowed to attend classes for two weeks. Children affected by this measure will be temporarily transferred to a distance learning form.

We are talking about students and employees who came from China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Great Britain, Norway and the USA. The order will begin to operate on March 10.

Recall, an outbreak of a disease caused by a new type of coronavirus was reported by Chinese authorities. In December 2019, the disease began to spread throughout the Chinese province of Hubei, after which the case was found in other areas.

According to TASS statistics, the number of cases has exceeded the mark of 100 thousand people. At the same time, more than 3.4 thousand deaths from the consequences of the disease caused by the virus were recorded. Outside of China, the majority of cases are in South Korea (more than 6.5 thousand), Iran (4.7 thousand), Italy (3.8 thousand) and Japan (more than 1 thousand).

Against the background of reports of new cases of virus detection in Russia, it became known that three Russians were discharged from medical facilities, who had previously been placed under medical supervision upon evacuation from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. However, this information was later refuted. According to the operations headquarters, people exported from Japan are still in the hospital.
