Greek police fire a tear gas to stop refugees from Turkey from Greece.

Tens of thousands of refugees are heading to Greece, Europe's path, after Turkey, which has broken the Middle East and Africa as a breakwater to Europe, declares it will open its borders.

[President Erdogan / Turkey: Refugees and migrants are free to leave Turkey. They are free to go anywhere.]

Turkey insists that there is a shortage of European support for refugee accommodation.

When Syrian refugees entered Europe in 2016, the EU supported Turkey with 8 trillion won and Turkey signed an agreement to stop refugees from going to Europe.

Turkey hosts 3.7 million refugees from Syria and Afghanistan and North Africa.

[Syrian refugees: We have to go to a better place for our children. We are already dead in Syria. We do not matter. I have to leave for my child.]

With the recent worsening of the Syrian civil war, Turkey's burden is growing.

Syrian and Russian troops are pushing the rebels north of Syria, pushing hundreds of thousands of rebels to the Turkish border.

More than 50 Turkish soldiers supporting the rebels were also killed.

Turkey is demanding diplomatic intervention as well as economic support from the European Union, drawing out refugee cards to reverse the adverse war in Syria.
