“The initiative is good in terms of how it will turn out for the population. Because we are talking about the average tariff in Russia of 3.4 rubles per 1 kWh so that in the regions where prices are lower today, they remain so. Say, in my native Astrakhan region, the price is higher, it is 4.84 rubles per 1 kWh. And of course, everyone will be happy if the bar falls. It’s very healthy for the people, ”he said.

The deputy noted that "the validity of these tariffs is important."

“Obviously, this decision requires a high-quality, simultaneous approach to the financial soundness of tariffs. Because today the question of where this tariffing comes from is a secret for the family for both regional authorities and tariff services, too, ”he added.

Earlier it became known that Russia intends to strengthen state regulation of electricity tariffs.
