The RATP has been preparing for several weeks for different scenarios related to the coronavirus. A station agent, stationed on line 6 of the Paris metro, tested positive for coronavirus, learned this Thursday 20 Minutes from the company, confirming information from RTL. According to RATP, she contracted the disease during a private stay, the week preceding her return. If she is currently hospitalized, her condition is not cause for concern.

The development of the situation is being closely followed by occupational medicine and the Regional Health Agency, which will issue recommendations. An investigation into her working environment is currently underway to find all the agents with whom she has worked. The RATP does not specify whether it has been in contact with the public. The job of station agent nevertheless covers various tasks, including ticket sales or passenger information.
