"At 18.00 today I received an accurate report from Parliament's Medical Service on the evolution of Covid-19 informing us that health risks are considered significantly higher in the event that Parliament's plenary session takes place in Strasbourg 'On the basis of this report, due to force majeure, I decided that there are no security conditions necessary for the usual transfer of the European Parliament to Strasbourg for the plenary session ", explains the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli.

"I informed the French authorities, thanking them for the collaboration that has taken place between us in these days - he continues -. The plenary session will be held exceptionally in Brussels. Parliament undertakes to reschedule a plenary session in Strasbourg in accordance with the Treaties".
