Al-Dhaheri said that «the Corona virus is a global crisis, and we are part of this system, and the authority’s efforts did not stop laying down plans to control the spread of the virus only, but we discussed with the relevant authorities and institutions in the state a mechanism to prepare for this step, which will not include all institutions, but most of them You might have to work remotely. ”

Al-Dhaheri added that «the tasks of the National Emergency Management Authority are manifested in raising society’s awareness and education, and working on preparing plans in relation to emergency management», pointing out that “the circulation of incorrect and false news about the virus negatively affects public opinion, especially as the world is open due to the development And the spread of the media and social media ».

He said: "All members of society should assist the state institutions in their efforts while dealing with this new reality, adopt official sources to receive documented news and information, and stay away from rumors and inaccurate news." He also called for assuming national and social responsibility, monitoring the health status of the individual and his family, and protection and personal hygiene, calling on all members of society to review their travel plans, follow up on precautionary measures upon return, and stay away from dense gatherings.

He added that «the UAE has a special nature, where there are more than 200 nationalities and several international airports and ports open to the world, it is a link between the eastern and western world, and this creates greater challenges, especially if we talk about a danger that affects humans, such as the Corona virus.

He continued: «The country has worked since the beginning of the spread of the virus in China to follow up the situation. For more than 45 days we were following the situation first hand. In order to achieve the desired effect in dealing with members of society, the media message, transparency and credibility in dealing with the current situation, and with international organizations in this field, should be unified, along with the speed of information delivery, and here we did not lose sight of the different groups of society, where we use different languages ​​to communicate the information , And we follow the public opinion through a dedicated team.
