The Sharjah Private Education Authority is preparing to start implementing the "distance learning" initiative, and during a meeting with the participation of the Board of Directors of Private Schools, I discussed the possibility of providing distance learning for students by running the student account in the smart learning system, and the applications that will allow teachers and students to view the educational curricula electronically on computers Or cell phones.

The authority stated that five schools were chosen to contribute to preparing a model for distance learning, and indicated that it would be ready at the beginning of next week in preparation for circulating it to the rest of the schools. During the meeting, the authority heard opinions and proposals to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of the initiative in light of the great academic and technical expertise that it possesses.

The Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mohadith Al Hashemi, said that after the issuance of ministerial directives for the Distance Learning Initiative, the Commission began applying the procedures for implementing the initiative, and examining possible preparations for its implementation in an accessible manner according to the highest degrees of success in the service of students, and in order to ensure the safe progress of the educational process.

She added: “We asked the private schools that fall under the authority of the Authority to submit plans for a transition to distance learning, according to their capabilities and curricula, without overwhelming any school with procedures that exceed its capabilities and capabilities to respond to the initiative’s requirements, and we expect everyone to provide a good performance that meets the aspirations in a manner consistent with the application The initiative on the ground soon. ”

For his part, the authority’s director, Ali Al-Hosani, said that “the authority continues to monitor the healthy environment for education in Sharjah, and we have issued administrative and guidance decisions that guarantee the protection of students, and the response to it was outstanding, and we are confident of the success of all procedures in light of the great awareness of those involved in the educational and health process” .

The authority announced that the spring vacation will be offered to schools for the Emirate of Sharjah and work on the distance learning initiative, and the suspension of study in schools will start from next Sunday and continue for a period of four weeks, provided that the initiative begins two weeks after the start of the holiday, and for the Indian and Pakistani curriculum schools, the dates of the end exams will remain Year on schedule.

The authority announced the formation of a committee to study the distance learning initiative in times of crises, and the authority distributed a statement to the private school departments notifying them to address the students ’families with the necessity of keeping their children in homes if they develop a cold, cough, or fever until a complete recovery from illness, and in order to implement the guidelines. And precautionary measures to prevent the possibility of a new coronavirus infection (Covid 19) among students.
