It was around noon on Saturday February 22 when the gendarmes of Dinan (Côtes d'Armor) checked a motorist with suspicious behavior. At the wheel of his car, the man zigzags and struggles to maneuver. His car ends up running on a sidewalk. The blood alcohol test will confirm the doubts of the men in blue. The motorist drives with 1.5 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, three times the maximum authorized limit. In the passenger seat sits a pack of beers, says Ouest-France .

The man is already well known to the gendarmerie and justice services. During their investigations, the investigators even discover that he has no longer held a driving license since 1999! The repeat offender is also subject to judicial review.

Fourteen months in prison

Tried in immediate appearance on February 28, the man was sentenced to fourteen months' imprisonment, including six months suspended by the criminal court of Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine). He was imprisoned at the end of the hearing and will have to submit to an obligation of care. His vehicle was confiscated, specify the gendarmes.
