Ali Reza Raisi, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Health, announced that the number of deaths due to the Corona virus in the country has risen to 77, while the number of infections reached 2336.

Among those who died in the last hours of Iran was a member of the Expediency Council, Muhammad Mir Mohammadi, 71, who died in a hospital in Tehran, after being infected with the Corona virus.

The authorities indicated that among the injured were 23 parliamentarians, along with many officials and clerics.

"Now it has been confirmed that 23 parliamentarians have been infected with the Corona virus," said Abdul Redha Masri, deputy speaker of parliament.

He also pointed out that the mentioned representatives have close relations with the people, and that the virus may have spread in this way. He continued, "We recommend the deputies to stop their meetings with citizens to prevent harm to them."

The authorities have previously announced that Corona officials have been injured, including the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament, Gutbi Dhul-Nur, five members of Parliament, the Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar, and Irij Hariri, Deputy Minister of Health, and President of the University of Medicine in Qom Province, Mohammad Reza Qadeer.

Iran is witnessing an accelerating and disturbing spread of the Coruna virus, despite the announced preventive measures, which include the suspension of university studies.

In a joint statement, France, Britain and Germany announced that they have offered to provide Iran with $ 5.6 million in support, including medical supplies, to help it contain the disease, and this assistance will be provided through the World Health Organization and other international agencies.

A WHO team also arrived in Tehran on a plane carrying medical supplies to help the authorities cope with the outbreak.

It is noteworthy that the Corona virus was transmitted from Iran to Iraq and the Gulf countries.
