It is by a video posted on his blog that Alexei Navalny denounces the blocking of his bank accounts. The opponent is staged in a cafe in the Russian capital, and is about to pay an espresso with his bank card. An attempt, a failure, a second attempt, another failure. Alexei Navalny pretends to be surprised. " No money! This is what happens when the authorities decide to celebrate the anniversary of our investigation into Dmitry Medvedev! It was just three years ago… And today, I had all my money stolen! "

Alexei Navalny adds that the accounts of his wife, children and even his parents have been frozen. For the opponent, only one explanation: the authorities want to silence him, and are ready to use for this all the means at their disposal.

It is true that since the demonstrations last summer, the noose has tightened around the opponent. With in particular the opening of an investigation for money laundering against its organization the Anti-Corruption Fund .

Asked about the freezing of the accounts of the opponent Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Vladimir Putin refused to comment, saying: " The Kremlin is not interested in the bank accounts of Russian citizens ".
